Mint authority and freeze authority, explained
Two settings on every Solana token decide who can change it after launch. Checking them takes seconds and avoids some of the most common traps.
Mint authority
The mint authority is the wallet allowed to create new tokens. If it is still active, the holder can print more supply at any time and dilute everyone else. For most meme coins, a revoked (disabled) mint authority is what you want to see.
Freeze authority
The freeze authority can freeze token accounts, which means a frozen holder can't move or sell. Some regulated stablecoins keep it on purpose; for a meme coin, an active freeze authority is a major red flag.
How to check
Open the coin on Aspenox and look at the safety check above the Buy button: it shows mint and freeze authority status along with holders, liquidity and pool age. Revoked authorities lower some risks but don't remove them. Liquidity and holder concentration still matter.
Aspenox is a non-custodial tool, not financial advice. Crypto is risky and meme coins can go to zero. Practice mode uses paper money. Live trades are spot only: you approve each trade in your wallet, or your Cap wallet signs within limits you set.
